abstract
موضوع آموزش زبان انگلیسی و کسب مهارت در آن همواره مورد توجه کارشناسان، خانواده ها و معلمان قرار داشته است. امروزه این مهم، با گسترش نیازها و تنوع کاربرد های آن، بیش از هر زمان دیگری به مطالعه و تحلیل نیاز دارد. بر اساس یک رویکرد فرهنگی- اجتماعی به آموزش و سواد، این مطالعه کیفی در پی آن است تا با شیوه قوم نگاری((ethnography، توصیف و تحلیلی از مجموعه فعالیت های آموزشی در خانه( (home literacy در انگلیسی به عنوان یک زبان خارجی در شش نفر از دانش آموزان دبیرستانی و خانواده هایشان را در ایران ارایه دهد. هدف آن درک باور خانواده ها و چگونگی استفاده آن ها از شیوه های آموزش و یادگیری انگلیسی به عنوان یک زبان خارجی در محیط های خانه و اجتماع است با ذکر این نکته که مجموعه این آموزش ها به دلایلی از جمله سن زبان آموزان، طبقه اجتماعی و اقتصادی خانواده، سطح تحصیلات والدین، تفاوت های فرهنگی و سطح توانش زبانی والدین و فرزندان از تنوع برخوردار است .
